Allen Bolts

Socket head cap screws for assemblies where a hex head cannot be reached or cannot protrude.

Product Overview

What it is, and what decides it.

Allen bolts are specified where a spanner will not fit, where the head must sit flush or counterbored, or where a compact head profile matters to the assembly. The drive is internal, so tightening access is along the bolt axis rather than around it.

Because the socket carries the full tightening torque, socket geometry and material hardness are functional requirements rather than cosmetic ones, and are supplied to the specified class.
